Meet our March Pet of the Month, Albert!
Albert’s name is pronounced Albear after the famous Albert Camus. His owner is Mrs. Swope, and he was adopted when he was a one-year-old from the Hartford County Animal Shelter 14 years ago. Mrs. Swope chose Albert because he was wrapped around the volunteer’s neck when she first met him. Albert was quickly transferred to Mrs. Swope, and he immediately started purring. She knew right then that Albert was the cat for her. Albert is a very friendly cat, and he greets visitors by climbing all over them and purring! Albert cuddles next to Mrs. Swope at night and enjoys sitting on her lap while she reads or watches TV. Mrs. Swope has always had cats, but Albert is special, and she is madly in love with him.
