The Roland Park Place Health Care Center is Recognized as “High Performing” by US News & World Report
The Health Care Center at Roland Park Place has once again been recognized among US News and World Report’s Best Nursing Homes, receiving the designation as “High Performing” for both long-term care and short-term rehab. This award means that the skilled nursing at RPP offers more staffing than most other nursing homes, and achieves better outcomes overall.
The US News and World Report award criteria looks at seventeen quality indicators. According to the US News and World Report website, US News Best Nursing Homes provide on average 20% more total staffing per resident per day compared to the national average and offer on average 80% more physical therapy per day. They also cite on average 15% lower rates of hospitalizations for long-term residents, and 33% lower rate of emergency room visits for short-term rehab residents.
Fewer than 19% of the nations nursing homes achieve high performing marks for short-term rehabilitation or long-term care, and only 1,064 nursing homes in the country are designated as high performing in both areas. The Roland Park Place Health Care Center places within the top 20% of nursing homes in the country, the state of Maryland, as well as the Baltimore Metropolitan Area.
Access to the Health Care Center is available on a priority basis to current residents of Roland Park Place, but is available to the public for direct admission as space permits.
