Congratulations to RPP President and CEO, Sam Guedouar, recognized with an Executive Leadership Award from the Baltimore Business Journal!
The Baltimore Business Journal recognized area business leaders and asked some questions about their leadership. We’re honored that our President and CEO was among them!
“We received over 110 nominations for the inaugural awards. The BBJ editorial staff narrowed that down to 20 honorees”

Sam Guedouar’s responses to the BBJ’s Leadership Questions:
Personal motto: See with your eyes, act with your heart.
What is your proudest career accomplishment?
Building a culture where people feel respected, supported and deeply connected to the mission. Seeing teams come together through challenges, continue to deliver exceptional care and take pride in their work — especially during the hardest moments — has been the most meaningful measure of success for me.
What’s the most pressing issue you’re facing right now?
Health care is at a turning point, with growing workforce and financial pressures testing the system. The challenge is sustaining safe, high-quality care while navigating these realities — and that’s where disciplined, clear leadership makes the difference.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever given or received?
If you take care of your people and stay true to your mission, the results will follow. When people feel valued and supported, they give their best. And when decisions stay anchored to a clear mission, trust and consistency follow. Do both well, and strong results become a natural outcome — not the goal, but the byproduct.
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
Despite the CEO title, I’m very routine-driven. Starting the day the same way — right down to eating the same breakfast — creates a sense of stability and focus. It removes a small but unnecessary decision, preserving mental energy for the complex, high-stakes choices that truly matter. In a role defined by constant demands, simple routines are a quiet but powerful leadership tool.
Congratulations, Sam!
