RPP launches a new summertime tradition with “Treats on the Terrace”
From “Nice Cream” to “Frushi” the Treats on the Terrace events are filling the Roland Park Place summers with healthy and refreshing snacks to enjoy with friends.
Starting with Berry Banana “Nice” Cream & Lemon Lime Rosemary Infused Water, residents enjoyed a scoop of the Mind Diet recipe homemade in our own RPP kitchen. This no sugar added, non-dairy “nice” cream is made from simple ingredients like berries, bananas, coconut milk or orange juice and is guilt-free. Fresh berries are recommended for heart & anti-inflammatory properties. Bananas offer much needed electrolytes to rehydrate. Bananas may even promote a good mood, afternoon energy & restful sleep.
Next up was “La Sushi Vita”: A Taste of RPP Summer Life. This was our sweet celebration of sunny days, good vibes & vibrant flavors with a colorful new delight inspired by the world’s Blue Zones—from Okinawa to Costa Rica. Our fresh fruit sushi topped with strawberry, mango, kiwi, and a sprinkle of coconut (no fish in this recipe.) It’s a Blend of tropical goodness with nutrient-rich ingredients known to support long, healthy lives. These bites burst with antioxidants, vitamin C, and fiber—perfect for digestion, immune support, and a mood boost.
We kept the summer party going with our colorful smoothie bar. Chef John blended up vibrant summer smoothies packed with hydrating fruit, feel-good vitamins, and gut-loving ingredients. Think sunshine in a glass!
High Tea on the Terrace provided another great reason to eat healthy and spend time together. It was a cool twist on a timeless tradition. Residents and associates were invited to unwind and savor the elegance of teatime, reimagined for warm, sunny days. Sipping on freshly brewed iced teas, lightly sweetened with natural honey, known for their antioxidant and antibacterial properties. This refreshing blend not only hydrates but also supports digestion and boosts immunity—making it as good for your body as it is for your soul.
Replacing sugary sodas with these naturally brewed teas, provides your brain, heart, and blood sugar balance a healthful alternative. The day was completed with tea sandwiches & scones, made to pair beautifully with every sip.
We’re looking forward to our fall series featuring a variety of different teas!
