Leslie Simmons, current Vice Chair of the Roland Park Place Board of Directors and executive vice president of LifeBridge Health, was recently named as one of the Baltimore Sun’s Women to Watch in 2018.
Leslie’s career has taken her from the ICU to the executive suite, first as president of Carroll Hospital in 2015, and now as executive vice president of LifeBridge. Overseeing Carroll Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and LifeBridge Health’s Post-Acute Division means Simmons is working with many more people than she ever did as a critical care nurse, but she says taking time to connect with staff at all levels is crucial to enhancing their quality of care. “People need to find what their ‘why is,’ ” she says. “My ‘why’ is trying to make it better for the people who are taking care of patients in our community.” [Jon Kelvey]
