PAL stands for Program for Assistance in Living. It is a fee-for-service program designed to provide additional services to Residents at all levels of residency. Some examples of PAL services include additional housekeeping, transportation to personal appointments, companion services, and medication management. New Residents are required to meet the conditions of residency without the assistance of PAL services.
Phase one renovations are in the process of coming to a close. Phase two expansion construction is anticipated to be completed in 2021.
The monthly service fee for Independent Living includes one meal per day, housekeeping service every other week, weekly changing and laundering of bed linens, transportation to medical appointments, weekly entertainment, religious services, and much more. Please refer to the Residence and Care Agreement for a full list of services and amenities included in each level of service.
There are two options pertaining to the refundability of the accommodation fee: 1.) Under the Traditional contract, the refundable amount of the accommodation fee declines over a 60 month period. After five (5) years, there is no refund of the accommodation fee; 2.) Under the Refund Option contract, 90% of the accommodation fee paid is refundable. Any refundable portion of an accommodation fee is refundable after the Resident has BOTH left Roland Park Place AND the last apartment they lived in within the level of service upon which they entered Roland Park Place has been re-occupied. Please see the Residence and Care agreement for more details.
