Wait Staff

Location:  

Main Dining Room
Residential Care Dining Room
Dining Room Float Pool

Hours:  

16 -20 hours per week
Float Pool staff must be able to work every other weekend

Responsibilities:

Provide quality and efficient food service to residents in elegant, formal "5-star" dining room setting. Set, serve and bus tables. Prepare beverages. Provide room service, as needed. Display friendly, courteous manner and enthusiasm as a team player.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be over 16 years of age. Must communicate well with elderly persons. Must possess the ability to read, to write legibly, and to speak clearly. Experience helpful, but not necessary. Training will be provided. Must receive an annual influenza vaccination. Must adhere to RPP's smoke-free campus policy.

Geriatric Nursing Assistant: Health Care

Hours:  

Full Time 11pm - 7:00pm weekend rotation

Responsibilities:

Provides direct care for residents by bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and maintaining hygiene. Maintains a safe environment for residents by ensuring that call lights are within reach of residents; response to call-light is prompt and completing rounds to check on residents. Observes resident well-being by taking, documenting and reporting changes in vital signs, blood pressure, weight, and reporting to Charge Nurse any observed change in resident's condition. Encourages residents' participation in structured activities. Transports residents to/from activities or appointments. Supervises residents during functions as required. Prevents cross-contamination of residents by careful hand washing and use of universal precautions in all patient care activities. Cleans up spills/wet areas; remove soil if necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: CGNA Certificate and State CGNA registration required. High School diploma or GED required. TRAINING: Orientation class and annual attendance at Office of Health Care Quality in-services training are required. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience with geriatric care highly desirable. CONDITIONS Must already be registered on the National CNA registry or FOR Registered to take the Board of Nursing examination with EMPLOYMENT Successful completion within 180 days. Minimum of 18 years of age. Strongly urge to receive Hepatitis B Vaccine. Must receive an annual influenza vaccination. Must adhere to RPP's smoke-free campus policy.

RN/LPN: Health Services

Hours:  

Part-Time position 3:00pm - 11:00pm Will Alternate Holidays

Responsibilities:

Prepares, monitors and supervises the assignments of non-licensed nursing personnel. Oversees operations and activities of nursing services on assigned unit. Prepares, administers and documents all relevant data for medical records, departmental records related to resident care, MMDS, and quarterly documentation. Completes rounds on every resident on assigned unit. Notifies physician, nursing supervisor, and family/responsible party of changes in a resident's status. Monitors nutritional status, including monitoring of the dining room, tray distribution, and documentation of residents' meals. Maintains infection control standards in and/or on medication room, medication cart, treatment cart and nursing station desk area. Reviews previous shift from the preceding charge nurse. Completes current shift report on the 24 hour nursing report for the oncoming charge nurse. Follows and enforces policies, procedures and standards of facility, pharmacy and federal, state and local regulatory agencies. Assumes leadership in emergency situations, including medical emergencies, until relieved. Substitutes, as necessary, for the RN/LPN Supervisor and the Ambulatory Care Nurse. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. TRAINING: Annual CPR certification is required. EXPERIENCE: Two years previous nursing experience highly desirable. Previous experience with gerontological nursing practice preferred. OTHER: Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse of Licensed Practical Nurse in Maryland. Minimum of 18 years of age. Strongly urged to receive Hepatitis B vaccine. Must receive an annual influenza vaccination. Must adhere to RPP's smoke-free campus policy.

CMA: Health Services

Hours:  

Part-Time Position 3 pm - 11 pm (24 hours per week)
Every other weekend rotation

Responsibilities:

Prepare, administer, chart and order oral, topical and suppositoral drugs. Performs blood pressure and pulse measurements. Administer PRN medicines, after getting approval from the Charge nurse. Encourages residents' participation in structured activities Transports residents to activities or appointments. Supervises residents during functions and reports any abnormal findings or changes in condition to the Charge Nurse. Prevents cross-contamination of residents by careful hand washing and use of standard precautions in all resident care activities; maintains resident environment, supplies and equipment; and maintains ancillary areas. Keeps medicine cart clean and orderly at all times. Completes special assignments, such as checking refrigerator temperatures, dates on nourishments, etc. as directed. Cleans up spills/wet areas; remove soil if necessary. Collects specimens as requested by the Charge Nurse. Will work CGNA assignment as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Graduate from a Certified Medicine Aide course approved by the Board of Nursing is required. Orientation class and bi-annual attendance at Office of Health Care Quality in-services training are required. Previous experience with geriatric care highly desirable. Must already be registered on the National GNA registry or registered to take the Board of Nursing examination with successful completion within 180 days. Minimum of 18 years of age. Strongly urge to receive Hepatitis B vaccine. Must receive an annual influenza vaccination. Must adhere to RPP's smoke-free campus policy.
Resident Assistant - Residential Care (2 positions open)

Hours:  

Part-Time 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (16 hours bi-weekly) every other weekend rotation.
Part-Time 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (16 hours bi-weekly) every other weekend rotation.

Responsibilities:

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) i.e. light housekeeping, meal preparation, etc.) Functions independently after receiving assignment and instructions from the RN Coordinator. Communicate concerns about residents to the RN Coordinator. Recognize and respond to the needs of residents. Adheres to the Residents' Bill of Rights; consistently works to uphold and protect residents overall well-being. Consistently displays professionalism. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

CGNA Certificate and State CGNA registration required. High School diploma or GED required. More than one (1) year in Long Term Care or Assisted Living setting preferred. Medication Management Certificate preferred. Minimum of 18 years of age. Must receive an annual influenza vaccination. Must adhere to RPP's smoke-free campus policy.
